Our team possesses extensive experience in all aspects of building surveying but particularly with commercial projects.
We have 3 practitioners registered with the Victorian Building Authority in the category of Building Surveyor – Unlimited (BS-U), allowing us to issue building permits for projects of any size and complexity.
Our team also hold postgraduate qualifications in Performance-Based Building & Fire Codes from Victoria University, allowing us to determine that fire engineering Performance Solutions satisfy the Performance Requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) without the need for independent certification.
Martin Ryan
Director | Building Surveyor
Martin has over 20 years of construction industry experience across Australia and the UK, including over 12 years as a building surveyor in Melbourne.
Martin spent the bulk of his career at Australia’s largest private building surveying company before gaining experience in the Local and State Government Sectors in Victoria. Martin has worked as a building surveyor on projects of all shapes and sizes, from one-off boutique dwellings to high-rise healthcare buildings and everything in between. This has equipped him with a unique insight into all aspects of building surveying practice, allowing him to give the right advice to suit the situation, first time.
Outside of work, Martin can be found hanging out at home with his wife and twin sons, reading fiction and playing guitar. A big football (soccer) fan, he also coaches his sons’ team and closely follows his hometown club, Manchester United.

Rajesh has over 12 years of building surveying experience in Victoria.
He has gained experience in the private sector, Local Government, State Government and working for prestigious Industry Associations. This allows him to consider multiple perspectives when it comes to finding pathways forward for our valued clients.
Rajesh is passionate about finding solutions to complex building surveying problems and communicating with clients at all times to explain decisions and regulatory issues.
Outside of work, Rajesh loves spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys the outdoors, particularly spending time in his garden with his son and twin girls

Mark Lewis

Mark has over 35 years of commercial building surveying experience in Melbourne.
Passionate about building and maintaining client relationships, Mark is one of Melbourne’s most sought-after building surveyors for his vast experience, practical mindset and approachable manner.
Mark has issued building permits for some of Melbourne’s most iconic buildings, such as the award-winning Deakin University Building U, Epworth Hospital Richmond and Melbourne City Mission’s ground-breaking Front Yard Youth Service.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, sailing on Port Phillip Bay and following the exploits of the Carlton Football Club.

Alex has recently completed his Bachelor of Building Surveying at Victoria University; a significant milestone in his personal and professional development.
Alex commits himself to learning the craft of building surveying every day, assisting the team with regulatory tasks and customer service.
Alex is passionate about learning all there is to know about building surveying, making his mark in the industry and gaining experience on landmark projects.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his brothers, working out, tinkering with his car and is a bit of a card shark, with poker being a specialty!
